Name: Kira Shimada
He used to be called Koneko (kitten) by Masao but those days seemed to have passed.

Age: 15

Sex: male

Grade: 10th

Birthday: February 1st

Appearance:

Kira has dark brown hair that is cropped short in back and his bangs are long that reach to the bottom of his ears which he sometimes puts color streaks in them. He has dark eyes and wears glasses with small rectangular lenses. Kira is about 5’6” and is really lean and skinny and pretty much has no build. His cloths are usually bought from a thrift store and are nothing special. He has no self confidence in his stand and tends to keep his head down.

Personality: Kira tends to shy away from people and it takes some time for him to trust people enough to call them a friend. Even though he keeps to himself he is very smart and a pretty nice guy. He finds escape from the outside world trough his paintings he is very creative but not at all athletic.

History: Kira has lived in Tokyo all his life. His mother hated Kira from since he was born because he looked like his bastard father. She tends to just ignore him unless yelling at him or telling him how pathetic he is. She blames Kira for holding her back and having such a crappy life. His best friend since kindergarten, and later boyfriend, Masao showed him how to forget the pain by popping pills and enjoy the wondrous world of sex.

Kira realized he was gay when he was 12 and that many people get offended about that and tend to get violent. Kira worked hard to get into a good high school all on his own. Masao used to go to a different school, till Kira talked him into switching, and is a member in a local gang. However, Kira is forced to keep his and Masao’s relationship a secret. Masao is closeted and tends to cheat with the girls at his school and his excuses are his family would kick him out if they knew the truth so he has to do everything he can to hide it.

It also seems now that Kira is once again trapped in violence only this time with the one he loves. He deals with Masao's abuse with the false dreams that its just the stage he is dealing with and will end. It might not be true that Masao doesn't love him so in the end it just confuses him.

Family Notes: His mother, Shimada Ayumi, got pregnant with him at the age of 18. His father was already married and had a different family so when he found out his mistress was pregnant he ended the affair and was never heard of again. All Kira knows about his father was he is a hot shot executive in some big business in Tokyo. His mother has been working two jobs for years now, a waitress during days and cleaning lady at nights.

Neighborhood: Lives in a low housing income complex. Since the apartment building is a housing facility for hard working family's that just get low paychecks its in a pretty safe neighborhood. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and living room.

Job: He currently working at a pastry shop with a fellow classmate Leo Sawada. Sometimes he deliveries things for Masao’s gang when he really needs money.

Transportation: none - rides the bus

Dating Status: Kira is gay and is devoted to the one he considers the love of his life. His insecurities makes him blind to anything else other then that he needs his boyfriend.

Love Life: Kira has been seeing his boyfriend Tatsumi Masao for 2 years now, who abuses him a lot. They were childhood friends and shortly after they started seeing each other, until Masao's step dad had caught them in a compromising position. He kicked Kira out and beat up his stepson for being gay. After this they were forced to keep it quiet even if that means Kira has to stand idly by while Masao dates other girls as a cover up, this was also the start of Masao's abuse to Kira. ~ Masao Tatsumi's RP journal behindxthexmask

Social Status: Not shy just wary of people he doesn't know. Once you gain his trust he is a great friend. Hates being in the public eye and tends to keep to himself. Not very popular and often gets picked on or beat up by other students. Especially when they find out he is gay.
